Counselling is a boundaried time for you to explore and solve your own problems. Counselling can help raise self esteem and helps you develop the skills to resolve past and present problems.
The counselling I offer takes place a private and confidential setting, enabling you to explore a difficulty you may be having, distress you may be experiencing or perhaps dissatisfaction with life, or loss of sense of direction and purpose.
My role as a counsellor is to create a respectful, honest, accepting counselling relationship you will be able to explore aspects of your life and relationships and feelings talking about them freely and openly in a way that is not always possible with family and friends.
With support and encouragement in the counselling relationship you can develop different ways of coping and find new insights into understanding yourself, which in turn can empower you to decide what is best for you.
Difficulties that counselling can help with:
- Stress and anxiety
- Family issues
- Work related stress
- Suicidal thoughts
- Domestic violence
- Low self esteem
